Do you want the peace, tranquility, and privacy of immersing yourself in nature? Are you tired of being stacked on top of other people in noisy and crowded tent campgrounds? Primitive camping and hiking are an excellent way to get off the grid and out of your comfort zone. Away from the annoyances of raucous campers, you gain a true sense of freedom while participating in a purely self-reliant backcountry experience.
Our private eco-friendly off-grid campground is on Adam Yowell Mountain in Etlan, Virginia, right off scenic State Route 23. At over 1,200 feet elevation and nearly 50 acres, we offer panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and are close to the popular hiking, historic, winery, brewery, and restaurant destinations. You will hike up to your camping spot where you hear the whisper of the northwest wind through the Red Oak trees, watch the sunset over the Blue Ridge Mountains, and stare at the stars at night while perched on a rock ledge.
We provide and set up almost everything you need for your camping adventure, including quality canvas tents, sleeping cots, fire pits, wood, and lights. Just bring your back packs, sleeping bags, essentials, and get ready to relax! We are the only eco-friendly off-grid primitive campground east of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We avoid environmental harm by implementing renewable energy power sources, promoting various recycling programs, minimizing water usage, and using other sustainable practices to lessen our carbon footprint on the environment.
*We love all pets and children but unfortunately do not allow pets or children under 18 due to the steep terrain, local wildlife, and our remote off-grid location.
